As the founder of Advanced Retirement Design, John Deitrick is focused on helping Business Owners work toward their dream of a work optional lifestyle through a well-thought-out, comprehensive plan. His business philosophy is to do what’s in the best interest of the families he serves at all times.

Within one year of working as a broker at Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase), John formulated the business plan that became Advanced Retirement Design. He wanted to help people proactively, rather than reactively, as he was doing as a broker. By becoming an independent financial professional, John firmly believes he is able to add value to others’ lives by helping them strive for financial freedom to live out their dreams.

John founded Advanced Retirement Design in 2000. He holds his Series 65 securities registration, as well as his life and health insurance licenses. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and has his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, John holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Family and faith are the foundations of John’s practice. His commitment to honesty and integrity in wealth management and financial planning has put him in demand as a trusted advisor among Central Ohio individuals and their families.

John and his wife live in Powell, Ohio, with their two daughters. Away from the office, John enjoys cycling, playing golf and spending quality time with his family.

Tena Pace takes pride in being a good listener to clients while keeping the office organized and running smoothly as the administrative assistant at ARD Private Client. She lends a hand in just about everything that goes on at the office, including processing, office management and client relations.

Tena’s parents introduced her to ARD Private Client and its founder, John Deitrick, years ago while he served as their financial planner. John came to appreciate Tena's talents and dedication when he worked closely with her family upon her father's death. He hired her in 2015 to provide support and assistance to all of ARD's clients.

Tena is glad to work part time at the office to continue her full-time role as a mom. She and her husband live on their family farm outside of Dublin, and Tena enjoys helping him in the field when he needs it. She can also often be found cheering her children on from the sidelines of their various sports and volunteering in their schools and the community. Tena graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
